3. Start to research your questions that you developed as a group (past due)
SCIENCE: Students have been reorganized into their Build Teams and started brainstorming concept green home ideas. Continue over the next few days to build upon your ideas, connecting back to your research within the wiki and collecting materials. Build Day will be pushed up earlier in the week. Bring in all supplies needed for your build on Monday February 2nd.

MEDIA LITERACY/HEALTH: Students have been assigned to small groups to research a focus area in Healthy Eating. Follow the "Big Idea" and generate 2-3 inquiry questions to research on the topic. You will be given a few days to collaborate online. Next week, students will be provided a copy of their online work to them independently design an informative poster. (The poster will be presented to the class later in the week)

ARTIST (GRAPHIC COMIC WORKSHOP) $23 due Friday Feb 6
The students in Room 301 and 308 will
be participating in a 5-day Graphic Comic workshop from February 23, 25, 27,
March 2-3, hosted by illustrator Martha Newbigging. Martha is a published illustrator and a teacher
who will be bringing her expertise to the students. The students will be engaged in an interactive
workshop where they will be learning about the elements of creating an
effective graphic comic through narrative writing. At the end of the workshop each student will
complete a two-page graphic comic that will be showcased to the class. The cost
of the 5-day long workshop is $23 dollars, which includes instruction from
Martha and all art supplies. Please have funds in by Friday February 6th,
2015.
