Students: Bring a litterless lunch tomorrow

STUDENTS:   online tasks and other assigned tasks have been provided with in-class time and needs to be worked on or completed at home.  Please ensure that tasks are completed by the assigned due date.

PLEASE review the Online Code of Conduct with your child and indicate in their agenda that you have read and discussed the document together, by Friday February 6th.

MATH:

MEDIA LITERACY/HEALTH: Students have been assigned to small groups to research a focus area in Healthy Eating.  Follow the "Big Idea" and generate 2-3 inquiry questions to research on the topic.  You will be given a few days to collaborate online.  This week, students will be provided a copy of their online work to them independently design an informative poster. (The poster will be presented to the class later in the week)

SCIENCE:  Congratulations on your Concept Green Home designs.  Tomorrow groups will co-write a summary to capture the many energy efficient features of their concept green home.

SOCIAL STUDIES: Social Studies Wiki, generate your own question on the assigned community that impacted Canada's Identify. Build your research based on the guiding questions and the groups inquiry question. Past Due

Voicethread: Consider the following- your inquiry questions and how you will demonstrate your understanding of the question in relation to the following: 
How have the interactions between different communities within Canada impacted its development as a nation?  Access the consequence between these interactions from different perspectives (positive and negative) 
* Start collecting images that you will use on your voicethread, continue to research if you don't have enough information.  

BUSINESS DAY: Students were introduced to their Team Wikis to begin brainstorming and building ideas for potential business ventures.
Roles and Responsibilities Sheet: Using the template provided in the class research the roles, responsibilities and qualities needed for various roles that will be introduced during Business Day Due Monday
Potential Business Day Ideas:  Create a chart and list your BD ideas include why you think it would be a new and creative business at McMurrich, how will it severe your customers needs. -Due Wednesday  

GUEST ARTIST (GRAPHIC COMIC WORKSHOP) $23 due Friday Feb 6The students in Room 301 and 308 will be participating in a 5-day Graphic Comic workshop from February 23, 25, 27, March 2-3, hosted by illustrator Martha Newbigging.
